VH1 cancels ‘Single Ladies’
It’s a wrap for VH1′s first scripted series! According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has canceled “Single Ladies” after three seasons. This may not come as a surprise to fans that noticed an unusually long hold over between seasons 2 and 3. Despite the option not to pick up “Single Ladies” for another cycle, VH1 is still sad to see the show drop from its lineup.
“We’ve been proud to deliver three seasons of the drama, romance and style that engaged viewers in each episode of Single Ladies,” VH1 said in a statement. “Although we’ve decided not to move forward with another season, we hope to work again with the talented cast, creatives and producers as well as our partners at Flavor Unit Entertainment in the near future. We also thank the show’s fans for their support since the premiere in 2011.”

’12 Years A Slave’ wins best picture
12 Years A Slave made history as it won the Oscar for Best Picture on Sunday night! The film, which followed the life of Solomon Northup after his illegal capture and sale into slavery, starred Chiwetel Ejiofor. Quvenzhané Wallis also appeared in the film as the younger version of Solomon’s daughter.
This victory makes Steve McQueen the first Black director to win Best Picture! Lupita Nyong’o also took home an Oscar for her performance as Patsey in 12 Years A Slave.

Lupia Nyong’o wins best supporting actress
Lupita Nyong’o capped off her epic birthday weekend by taking home an Oscar! Effectively the fashion darling of the red carpet this awards season, Lupita won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. She secured the statue with her haunting performance as a tortured woman named Patsey in 12 Years A Slave!
During her accetance speech, she offered up her Oscar as a reminder to children everywhere that “no matter where you are from, your dreams are valid.” The honor came just a day after she celebrated her 31st birthday!

Pharrell performs “Happy” at the Oscars
Pharrell and his hat uplifted the Oscars on Sunday night as he perfomed his joyful tune “Happy!” Although he didn’t win an Oscar for the tune (Best Original Song went to “Let It Go” from Frozen), he did gets some huge stars from the night in on his act. Accompanied by a crew of retro-dressed dancers, Pharrell invited Jamie Foxx and his date on the stage with them for a dance break. But the real high light was Pharrell’s walk through the audience, where he boggied with Best Supporting Actress winner Lupita Nyong’o.

Kyla Pratt reveals she has second daughter
At some point over the last year, Kyla Pratt snuck in another pregnancy and delivered her second child without anyone knowing! People began to wonder if she was expecting when a shot of her date night with boyfriend Danny Kilpatrck hit the web. Her tummy looked a little rounder than normal, so there was speculation that she was pregnant again. Well, as it turns out, everyone was late on that story!
Her publicist released a statement in response, confirming, “Kyla gave birth to a healthy baby girl in August 2013 and is enjoying motherhood for the second time around.”
The actress later explained to HipHollywood.com that she just wanted to enjoy her pregnancy away from the spotlight. “I just felt like that’s something personal that I wanted to experience and enjoy myself,” she said, adding that she really wanted to avoid negative comments on social media during a time where she was hormonal and emotional. “My fear was somebody saying something and it really affecting me, when it doesn’t really matter.”
Of course that doesn’t mean that Kyla had locked herself up in the house for the majority of 2013! “I loved my pregnancy, every moment. …I wasn’t hiding,” Kyla said. “I went to Disneyland 8 months pregnant, I had a huge baby shower. I just have people around me that respect me and understand where I was coming from.”

Tiny dismisses cheating and love child rumors
Tiny isn’t terribly worried about rumors that her marriage is falling apart. Lately, T.I.’s wife has been snapping back at online hecklers, claiming that he’s been sleeping around. Tiny’s patent response has been that he still comes home to her. Besides, her attitude is that rumors of marital trouble and infidelity is just something that comes along with fame.
“I don’t feel any different than when I do from the next rumor. I’ve been in the business long enough to know that this happens,” Tiny told HelloBeautiful.com. “It’s been a lot of different things that have been said about me and him, and I know it isn’t true. So, I just let it fall to the waist side. If it don’t apply, I have to let it fly, and that’s where I’m at with it.”
And she specifically addressed gossip about T.I. allegedly having a child outside of his marriage, stating, “I haven’t seen anyone come forth and say that it’s his child. So, it definitely don’t apply!”
She did acknowledge, though, that there have been some tense moments in her marriage to T.I. recently. “With any relationship, you argue, you fight, you go through things. So, that’s pretty much what it was,” she said. “We were into it, but we was able to mend everything and get through it. It’s what we do.”

Chris Brown diagnosed as bipolar
Chris Brown might have more serious personal issues than dealing with his anger management. TMZ.com has uncovered legal documents, which state that Chris was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. He received the analysis during his recent stay in rehab to address his problem controlling his actions and emotions.
An official from the facility stated in one document, “Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD.”
It’s not clear how the “Don’t Judge Me” singer’s PTSD was triggered at this time. Chris has not spoken out about the diagnosis at this time, but the document states that he is currently on medication for his bipolar disorder.
